Contemporary variations of my work have stemmed into new and exciting projects, they depict people who have become, and in their own right can be recognized as icons. I have chosen to portray through iconography, in juxtaposition; the fact of two things placed together in contrasting effect. “And a man may have never entered a church or a mosque, nor performed any ceremony, but if he feels God within himself and thereby lifted above the vanities of the world, that man is a holy man, a saint, call him what you will”

He, a great warrior, must possess kindness as well as strength. Manteo Native American Chief of the Croatians lived in peace beside the waters. He smoked his pipe beneath the pine-tree, and he welcomed strangers as he would his own tribe. When the frightened woman came to him, her eyes full of fear, her people lost, her young daughter crying, Manteo was moved to protect them.
Come, he said, the darkness falleth. And she placed the babe in his strong arms.
About The Wine
Carefully selected for intensity, weight, and texture, MANTEO is a rich and immediately drinkable red blend of Sonoma County Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah. Each varietal contributes a certain character, which when married together, gives the wine many layers of flavors, texture, and a solid tannin structure, thus making it robust enough for the warrior it’s named after.
